Who Can Participate
Any chief executive who leads an organization can be nominated — including CEOs, founders who serve as CEO, presidents, managing directors, chairpersons and group CEOs. The program is open to leaders in every industry and every region of the world, with no restriction by company size or company age.
No. The program recognizes the most senior executive responsible for leading an organization. If you hold equivalent responsibility — such as Founder and CEO, Managing Director, President or Group Chief Executive — you are eligible to be considered, regardless of the exact wording of your title.
Yes. Founders who serve as the CEO of the company they built are a natural fit for the program. There are categories that specifically recognize entrepreneurial and founder-led leadership, alongside the flagship leadership honors open to all chief executives.
Yes. Women CEOs are eligible across every category, and there is also a dedicated Best Female CEO Award that celebrates women leading at the highest level. You can review every category on the Categories page to find the honors that best reflect your achievements.
Yes. There is an Emerging CEO Award created for rising chief executives early in their tenure who are already delivering a clear, demonstrable impact. Newer leaders are assessed on the strength and results of their leadership rather than years in the role.
No. There is no minimum company size, revenue threshold or headcount requirement. Leaders of startups, small and mid-sized companies, large enterprises and group structures are all welcome, because the focus is on the quality and impact of leadership rather than the scale of the organization.
Every industry can take part. Alongside flagship and dimension-based honors, there are industry-specific categories covering technology, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, retail and more, so leaders from any sector can find relevant recognition.
Yes. The World CEO Awards are a global program. Chief executives from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania are all welcome to be nominated and are evaluated on the same merit-based basis.
Both routes are accepted. You may submit your own nomination, or a colleague, board member, employee or industry peer may nominate you on your behalf. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are treated equally in the evaluation.
You can put another leader forward as a third-party nomination. We recommend that the nominated CEO is aware and supportive, because the evaluation benefits from supporting evidence and, for shortlisted leaders, their participation in the program and gala.
Yes. A leader may be considered across multiple relevant categories — for example a flagship leadership honor alongside an industry-specific or dimension-based award — provided each entry is supported by evidence relevant to that specific category.
You can begin at any time through the nomination form. Simply open the nomination page, choose the most relevant category and provide details of the leader's role, achievements and impact to put them forward for the World CEO Awards 2026.
Schedule
Nominations for the World CEO Awards 2026 open in May 2026. From that point you can submit an entry online through the nomination form for any of the program's categories.
Yes. The early nomination window closes on 30 July 2026. Submitting during this window gives the jury more time to review your entry and is encouraged for leaders who are ready to put their case forward.
Nominations close on 15 September 2026. We recommend submitting well before this date, as places are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and later entries leave less time for review.
It means entries are received and processed in the order they arrive. Earlier submissions are reviewed sooner and benefit from the fullest consideration, so submitting early is always to your advantage rather than waiting until close to the deadline.
Jury review takes place in late September 2026, after nominations close on 15 September. During this stage the independent jury assesses each eligible nomination against the criteria for its category.
The internal shortlist is prepared in October 2026, following the jury review. Shortlisted leaders are those whose nominations most strongly meet the merit-based criteria for their category.
Selected leaders are notified after the shortlist stage in October 2026 and ahead of the gala, so that winners and their guests have time to confirm attendance and travel. Notifications are sent directly to the contact details provided in the nomination.

No. Paying a fee never guarantees a win. The fee allows your nomination to be processed and considered by the independent jury, but the outcome is decided purely on merit through the evaluation.
The nomination fee covers the administration and processing of your entry and its independent evaluation against the criteria for the chosen category. The exact inclusions are described on the Fee / Cost page.
The winner package applies to leaders who are selected and covers the elements associated with formal recognition, the gala and related deliverables. The full list of inclusions is set out on the Fee / Cost page.
The fee supports the independent evaluation, organization and delivery of the program, including the jury process and the gala. It is kept entirely separate from judging, so it covers participation and recognition rather than influencing who wins.
Refunds are governed by the program's published refund policy. Because each entry is processed and reviewed once submitted, we recommend reading the refund terms before paying so you are clear on what applies to your nomination.
The nomination fee allows your entry to be processed and entered into the independent evaluation. Paying enables consideration, but it has no bearing on the jury's decision, which is made solely on merit.
