Who Can Participate

Any chief executive who leads an organization can be nominated — including CEOs, founders who serve as CEO, presidents, managing directors, chairpersons and group CEOs. The program is open to leaders in every industry and every region of the world, with no restriction by company size or company age.
No. The program recognizes the most senior executive responsible for leading an organization. If you hold equivalent responsibility — such as Founder and CEO, Managing Director, President or Group Chief Executive — you are eligible to be considered, regardless of the exact wording of your title.
Yes. Founders who serve as the CEO of the company they built are a natural fit for the program. There are categories that specifically recognize entrepreneurial and founder-led leadership, alongside the flagship leadership honors open to all chief executives.
Yes. Women CEOs are eligible across every category, and there is also a dedicated Best Female CEO Award that celebrates women leading at the highest level. You can review every category on the Categories page to find the honors that best reflect your achievements.
Yes. There is an Emerging CEO Award created for rising chief executives early in their tenure who are already delivering a clear, demonstrable impact. Newer leaders are assessed on the strength and results of their leadership rather than years in the role.
No. There is no minimum company size, revenue threshold or headcount requirement. Leaders of startups, small and mid-sized companies, large enterprises and group structures are all welcome, because the focus is on the quality and impact of leadership rather than the scale of the organization.
Every industry can take part. Alongside flagship and dimension-based honors, there are industry-specific categories covering technology, healthcare, financial services, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, retail and more, so leaders from any sector can find relevant recognition.
Yes. The World CEO Awards are a global program. Chief executives from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania are all welcome to be nominated and are evaluated on the same merit-based basis.
Both routes are accepted. You may submit your own nomination, or a colleague, board member, employee or industry peer may nominate you on your behalf. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are treated equally in the evaluation.
You can put another leader forward as a third-party nomination. We recommend that the nominated CEO is aware and supportive, because the evaluation benefits from supporting evidence and, for shortlisted leaders, their participation in the program and gala.
Yes. A leader may be considered across multiple relevant categories — for example a flagship leadership honor alongside an industry-specific or dimension-based award — provided each entry is supported by evidence relevant to that specific category.
You can begin at any time through the nomination form. Simply open the nomination page, choose the most relevant category and provide details of the leader's role, achievements and impact to put them forward for the World CEO Awards 2026.

Schedule

Nominations for the World CEO Awards 2026 open in May 2026. From that point you can submit an entry online through the nomination form for any of the program's categories.
Yes. The early nomination window closes on 30 July 2026. Submitting during this window gives the jury more time to review your entry and is encouraged for leaders who are ready to put their case forward.
Nominations close on 15 September 2026. We recommend submitting well before this date, as places are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and later entries leave less time for review.
It means entries are received and processed in the order they arrive. Earlier submissions are reviewed sooner and benefit from the fullest consideration, so submitting early is always to your advantage rather than waiting until close to the deadline.
Jury review takes place in late September 2026, after nominations close on 15 September. During this stage the independent jury assesses each eligible nomination against the criteria for its category.
The internal shortlist is prepared in October 2026, following the jury review. Shortlisted leaders are those whose nominations most strongly meet the merit-based criteria for their category.
Selected leaders are notified after the shortlist stage in October 2026 and ahead of the gala, so that winners and their guests have time to confirm attendance and travel. Notifications are sent directly to the contact details provided in the nomination.
The World CEO Awards 2026 gala ceremony takes place on 14 November 2026 at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi in Dubai, where winners are formally recognized in front of an audience of senior leaders and guests.
Nominations open in May 2026, the early window closes on 30 July 2026, nominations close on 15 September 2026, the jury reviews entries in late September, the internal shortlist is prepared in October, and the gala ceremony is held on 14 November 2026 in Dubai.
Yes. You can submit at any point until nominations close on 15 September 2026. The early window that closes on 30 July is simply an encouraged opportunity to enter sooner and allow more time for review; it is not the final deadline.
A focused nomination can be completed in a single sitting, but allowing a little time to gather concrete results, examples and supporting context will strengthen your entry. Because review is first-come, first-served, preparing early and submitting ahead of the deadline is recommended.

Judging

The World CEO Awards were founded in 2021 in Dubai and have grown into a global, merit-based program recognizing outstanding chief executives across every industry and region. The 2026 edition continues that established annual schedule.
Winners are chosen through an independent, jury-led, merit-based evaluation. An expert panel assesses each nominee against the criteria of the relevant category, including leadership excellence, strategic vision, innovation, growth, governance and measurable impact.
No. There is no public voting at any stage. Recognition is decided entirely by the independent jury on merit, so the outcome reflects the strength of each leader's achievements rather than popularity or the ability to gather support online.
The jury evaluates each nominee on leadership excellence, strategic vision, innovation, business growth and performance, governance and ethics, and measurable impact on the organization, its people and its stakeholders. The most relevant criteria are weighted according to the focus of each category.
The jury is composed of independent, experienced professionals such as senior executives, industry specialists and subject-matter experts. Their role is to assess nominations objectively against the published criteria, independent of the program's commercial activities.
Yes. Every eligible nomination is assessed against the same criteria for its category, using a consistent, structured process. This ensures fairness so that all leaders are evaluated on a level and comparable basis.
No. Judging is independent of any payment. A fee allows an entry to be processed and considered, but it never determines or guarantees the outcome. Winners are selected purely on the merit of their leadership and achievements.
Fairness is maintained by using a single set of published criteria, an independent jury, a structured scoring approach and the separation of judging from commercial activity. Every nominee is measured against the same standard for their category.
Yes. Information submitted in a nomination is treated as confidential and used solely for evaluation within the program. Sensitive business details shared to support an entry are handled with discretion by the review team and jury.
Clear, specific evidence is the most persuasive — for example measurable business results, growth figures, transformation outcomes, innovation milestones, leadership initiatives and the impact created for people and stakeholders. Concrete examples carry more weight than general statements.
Yes. During review the jury or program team may seek clarification or supporting detail to assess a nomination accurately. Providing complete and accurate information at the outset helps the evaluation proceed smoothly.
Yes. The independent jury's evaluation determines the outcome, and its decisions are final. This protects the integrity and credibility of the program and ensures every result rests on a consistent, merit-based assessment.
Merit-based recognition rewards demonstrated leadership and results assessed by an expert jury, rather than how many supporters a nominee can rally. With no public voting, the honor reflects genuine achievement and stands as a credible mark of leadership excellence.

Fee & Costs

Yes. There is a nomination fee to submit and process an entry, and a separate winner package for leaders who are selected. Full details of what each covers are available on the Fee / Cost page.
All current pricing is published on the Fee / Cost page, which sets out what the nomination fee and the winner package include. Please refer to that page for the most up-to-date figures.
No. Paying a fee never guarantees a win. The fee allows your nomination to be processed and considered by the independent jury, but the outcome is decided purely on merit through the evaluation.
The nomination fee covers the administration and processing of your entry and its independent evaluation against the criteria for the chosen category. The exact inclusions are described on the Fee / Cost page.
The winner package applies to leaders who are selected and covers the elements associated with formal recognition, the gala and related deliverables. The full list of inclusions is set out on the Fee / Cost page.
The fee supports the independent evaluation, organization and delivery of the program, including the jury process and the gala. It is kept entirely separate from judging, so it covers participation and recognition rather than influencing who wins.
Refunds are governed by the program's published refund policy. Because each entry is processed and reviewed once submitted, we recommend reading the refund terms before paying so you are clear on what applies to your nomination.
The nomination fee allows your entry to be processed and entered into the independent evaluation. Paying enables consideration, but it has no bearing on the jury's decision, which is made solely on merit.
The core costs are the nomination fee and, for selected leaders, the winner package, both explained on the Fee / Cost page. Personal expenses such as your own travel and accommodation for the gala are arranged and met by you.
Yes. You can review all pricing on the Fee / Cost page before you decide to enter, so you have full clarity on the nomination fee and winner package before submitting a nomination.
No. There is no way to improve your chances through payment. Judging is independent and merit-based, so the strength of your leadership and achievements is the only thing that influences the outcome.
Payment is arranged as part of the nomination process once you submit your entry through the nomination form. Details of accepted payment methods are provided during that process, and pricing is shown on the Fee / Cost page.
